robots will be moving like humans

Researchers are traing humanoid robots to speak and move in a natural way like a person having conversation. The study will make it easier to interface with robots in the future.

Andrea Thomas , researcher at Georgia institute of technology found that when robots move in more human like fashion with one moement leading into next  gthat people cannot only better recognise what robot is doing but they can also better mimic it themselves.

According to him ots important that robots should meet expectation of humans because we think that will make it more easier for people to understand how to apporoach them and how to interact with them.
Thomas along with student Micheal Gielnaik, conducted a study in which they ask how easily people can recognise what a robot is doing by watching his movements.

Using seris of human movement taken in motioncapture lab they programed the robot, Simon, to perform the movements. They also optimise that motion to allow for more joints to move at same time and for  the movements to follow into eachother in an attemp to be more human like.

So instead of having the robot move exact the same way every single time you want the robot to perform a similar action like waving, you always wanted to see a different way so that people forget that this is a robot they are interacting with.
